By safely extending drain intervals, AMSOIL synthetic lubricants dramatically cut the amount of oil consumed and emissions produced. Environmentally Conscious Company: AMSOIL INC. doesn't just leave the responsibilities of environmental protection to the products; the company itself is diligent in making efforts to keeping the earth clean. AMSOIL recycles virtually 100% of the corrugated trays and packaging boxes that come into the facilities, equaling several tons of recycled cardboard each month. All used steel drums and all �clean� plastic bottles are also recycled. AMSOIL is in the process of exploring how to recycle used stretch wrap and banding as well.

The AMSOIL Center was originally a grocery distribution warehouse, which required 109,000 ft2 of refrigeration and freezer space and 6.2 miles of copper pipe. Since AMSOIL did not need the refrigeration systems, the Feron and the copper pipe were recycled before moving into the space. In addition to the copper pipes, the AMSOIL Center came fully equipped with office furniture. Instead of tossing the furniture into a dumpster to be hauled off to the land fill, AMSOIL partnered with an organization named Common Ground and donated it to 38 different non-profit organizations.

AMSOIL Diesel Concentrate

AMSOIL Diesel Concentrate provides maximum diesel operating efficiency. It compensates for the varying quality of different fuels (including biodiesel) and the deficiencies of today's ultra-lowsulfur diesel fuel (ULSD) for better engine operation. Diesel Concentrate cleans dirty injectors, improving fuel economy by up to 5 percent and restoring horsepower to like-new levels. Acceleration is improved and with regular use, AMSOIL Diesel Concentrate continues to enhance performance by keeping injectors clean. The net savings on fuel expense can result in no additional cost to vehicle operation.

A gasoline engine compresses a mixture of gasoline and air, which is ignited with a spark from a spark plug, while a diesel engine creates heat by compressing air only. The fuel is injected into the compressed air, where the heat ignites it. Diesel engines are more efficient than gasoline engines because their compression ratios are higher. Diesel engines compress at ratios between 14:1 and 25:1, while gasoline engines compress at ratios between 8:1 and 12:1. Diesel fuel is more efficient than gasoline due to its higher energy density. One gallon of diesel fuel contains approximately 147,000 BTU, while one gallon of gasoline contains about 125,000 BTU.
